It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me. :la:
Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang. :D
The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Losing your art.

It has come to my attention that my Double Rainbow Petal Cake (which has since been removed from my deviantart and tumblr) photos has been circulating around the World Wide Web without giving any credits to me - munchinees or my business - Shubby Sweets Parlour. Some even cloned out the whole name or just cropped it away.

I as an individual can only do so much to confront these people who just freely claim my photos as their own. Especially INSTAGRAM! So please, if you recognize ANY of MY pictures ANYWHERE and they do not give due credit to me or my business then alert me. Pronto! I have a score to settle with them.

it's really unfortunate that there's so little originality left in the world that crap like this happens and causes amazing creative minds to have to put a stunt on their advertisements. because that cake was stunning work, i haven't seen it for a while, but it was so gorgeous that the image has been burned into my brain. and i'm positive it was one of your more popular pieces, since this happened....
i'm really sorry that you have to go through this. goes to show you that it's not only digital artists that get ripped off.

When it happened, I was away. I was frustrated that there was nothing that I could do until I came back home and there's this idiot who is claiming my photo as his. And there were some of them who said "hey at least it's very popular" but they fail to see that somebody else is taking credit for something they didn't do! Grrrrrr!!
